I started U N Me Driver Training in 2009 after watching and helping my 25 year old cousin go through the process of driving her 120 hours and gaining her provisional licence. This set me on a path that I never thought of doing before. I am a mum of 4 boys, so I have been very busy for a while now, but as they grew older I wanted to re-enter the workforce. My boys are 17 year old twins who have just gained their red Ps, so I have now begin though the logbook stage and I also have a 14 year old and 13 year old.

Gaining my driving instructors licence my passion to teach really took hold. I started with a manual Toyota Echo and then in 2011 I purchased a new Toyota Yaris (auto) and updated my manual car. I took a break in 2015 while my husband, boys and I travelled Australia for 8 months. On my return I started back up with a 2016 Toyota Corolla (auto) and a 2017 Toyota Corolla (manual).

The thing I love the most about being a driving instructor is helping people achieve a big milestone in their lives and all of the different people you meet; some very confident and others needing a little more help and encouragement.

Alison Balding

I have been a driving instructor for 6 years. My background is in psychology, counselling and youth work. My communication skills are excellent and I am able to adapt my teaching style to the needs of the learner. I am able to help put people at ease and overcome anxiety so that they can find learning to drive an enjoyable and rewarding process.

My qualifications include a Certificate IV in Driving Instruction, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Safer Driver Course facilitator and Coach, Keys2Drive Instructor, RYDA presenter, and Membership with the Australian Driver Trainers Association (ADTA).

I am a mother of 2 energetic young children and enjoy playing soccer and good coffee. The things I have enjoyed the most about driving instructing has been getting alongside people and seeing them progress, overcome challenges and reach their goals.
